1853·Orson Pratt·Apostle
Now, if the kingdom were not to be set up till the second advent, it would at once appear in its full size and grandeur ; for when Christ comes, he brings all his Saints and holy angels with him ; and instead of a stone from the mountain, the kingdom would at once fill the whole heavens, and then the earth.

1975·Marion G. Romney·Apostle
We are living in the dispensation of the fulness of times, which will be climaxed by the second advent of the Lord Jesus Christ. Concerning the approach of that event and what is in store for the inhabitants of the earth between now and then, the Lord said 144 years ago:

1978·LeGrand Richards·Apostle
Then he told them that as the days of Noah were, so should be the days of the coming of the Son of Man. They should be eating and drinking and making merry and would say that the Lord delayeth his coming, and then he would come as a thief in the night. And he said there would be two men upon the land; one would be taken and the other would be left. Two women would be grinding at the mill; one would be taken and the other would be left. (See Matt. 24:37–41 .) All of that was what the Savior said to identify the signs that would precede his second coming.

You are one of God’s noble and great spirits, held in reserve to come to earth at this time (see D&C 86:8–11 ). In your premortal life you were appointed to help prepare the world for the great gathering of souls that will precede the Lord’s second coming. You are one of a covenant people. You are an heir to the promise that all the earth will be blessed by the seed of Abraham and that God’s covenant with Abraham will be fulfilled through his lineage in these latter days (see 1 Ne. 15:18 ; 3 Ne. 20:25 ).
Choices — cojc
1999·Neal A. Maxwell·Apostle
Cultural decline is accelerated when single-interest segments of society become indifferent to general values once widely shared. This drift is facilitated by the indifferent or the indulgent as society is led carefully down to hell (see 2 Ne. 28:21 ). Some may not join in this drift, but instead they step aside, whereas once they might have constrained, as is their representative right. Of such circumstances Yeats lamented, “The best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity” (W. B. Yeats, “The Second Coming,” lines 7–8).
